Frank Smith Sterling Silver Sugar Casters Salt Pepper Shakers set of 2 Two identical sterling silver casters made by Frank Smith. Each of these casters is in excellent condition with slight surface scratches that are consistent with age and are never monogrammed. One of the casters does have a significant dent in the top of the lid at the base of the finial (see photos). Each caster measures 7 ½” tall and 3 ¼” wide (at the widest point). Each caster is intricately detailed with a scrolling and leaf pattern. The casters sit on four applied feet; have fluted rims and decorative finials on each lid. Each caster weighs 8.5 Troy ounces. The base of each caster is marked with Frank Smith’s hallmark as well as “J.E.CALDWELL&CO/925-1000/STERLING/2300/STERLING/1”. The lids are also each marked “1”.
